THE TOP 5 COMEDIANS ADVANCE TO 2nd Set*

3 JUDGE PANEL & CROWD (APPLAUSE) DECIDES WINNER

(you must provide your own transportation & lodging)

There will be at least three judges at each show. Some shows may have more judges. These judges are the comedy bookers who may be giving you work and EVERYDAY PEOPLE. So, if more than the three judges that are scheduled to judge show up, we will let them judge. This is good for you as you will be seen by more bookers and may get work even if you don’t win.

Each category is worth up to 10 points. The maximum points each contestant can score is 30 points from each judge.

Judges will be looking at three categories:

Originality:

Have we heard these jokes before from another comic? An email? On the street?
Did you use “easy” jokes such as sex, bowel movements, or the objects inside your nose?
Were you able to be funny without being too dirty?

Stage Presence:

Did you seem comfortable on stage?
Did you shake, stutter, or just blank out?
Did you talk to the entire room?
Did you look down or look up too much?

Overall:

Your entire performance as a whole.
